Holy smokes that's a big tree! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif How the heck big is that? Any estimates on the girth of the trunk, height, or age of the tree?
We've got one huge Douglas Fir (my wife calls it the "old wolf"), that has a trunk diameter of about 8'. Botanists that have seen it estimate that it might be over 300 years old.
Just got back from Yosemite today, where I saw some truly ancient (and large) giant redwoods, but I love old trees (all kinds).
