Ballast "proper" ballast

A lesson I learned, and learned, and learned...
I cut as low as possible almost 50 stumps with my Stihl. I was trying to save bucks with Mr. Stump Grinder. While I was succesful, I sharpened two brand new chains to stubs doing it. I am old school and sharpen the teeth with a rat tail. I found new muscle groups in my back.
Lesson learned. Next time it's backhoville.

Do the JD earphones allow for putting sound in them? I use noise-dampening headphones with my iPod when I'm cutting grass, etc., and they just don't take the sound down enough. I thought about using the earbuds inside of cupped ear protectors (I have alot of these from shooting), but the cupped protectors are pretty hot overall (that's why I went to the ESPs for shooting).

yes, there is a mini plug jack that you can plug your iPod/CD/... into. They sound pretty good too.

How much do these little buggers cost and I'll get a pair right away - I'd put up with the cups/sweat for the COMPLETE lack of noise overriding even my sound dampening ear phones.

That's not a bad price.

The online site quotes:

Is this just a headphone jack - so it works with my iPod? If so, I'm on it!

I'd like to hear also what others have to say. I know it won't be as good as my BOSE unit is (I travel alot), but this might just be better than the cheap ones I have outside now...
