Kubota 9940
I just bought a Kubota 9960 and a used John Deere baler, the problem I have is where to put the hay monitor, Kubota does not design a place on their tractors. I contacted my dealer and was told to just clamp it down with some vice-grips, just wanted to do better than that, anyone with ideas or pictures of what you have done.

I used a piece of 3/4 " hdpe plastic and counter sunk the mounting bolts to the plastic to mount my sprayer control unit. Then I used a plugged hole on the top of the right fender to bolt the unit to the tractor fender. No drilling of holes into my fender! When I finish the spring spraying I remove the one bolt from the unplugged hole in the fender, replace the plug and store the control unit which remains attached to the hdpe plastic for the next season.

On the bar to the right of the console get 2 piece 1" shaft collars, replace the bolt on 1 side of the collar to a bolt long enough to mount the monitor. That's how I did mine.

Thanks so much for your reply, I am trying to visualize this in my mind, anyway you might get me a picture. Once again thank you so much. I have already bought the tractor when I discovered this and I just wanted to put something up that I am not going to have to worry with,

On my Kubota I used u bolts and bolted a piece of 1x4 to the hand bar on the right side door. I then mount controls and monitors to the wood.

On my old Ford I welded up a monitor mount that I could hook multiple monitors and controls to. I bolted it to the cab by taking out the factory bolts you can see around the interior and replacing them with slightly longer. I did a similar thing to mount a mirror to the Kubota but had to add spacers behind the mounting plate as the bolts are recessed in the head liner.

Mine is set up that same way on right handrail. The thin piece of sheet metal fits snug into the plastic bracket on back on the monitor and doesn't shake around. You may wont to cut a small strip of some kinda rubber to put under the U-Bolts so doesn't scratch your handrail if that kinda thing bothers you. They also make a suction cup backet can put on the window but I have heard they come un-stuck when bouncing around a lot but that's just what have heard,so never have used mine that come with baler...
