Loader Problems with FEL stands on a Woods 1000 series

I've had a Kubota L3430 for a couple of weeks and have dismounted the FEL about 4 times so far. I'm getting used to aligning and mounting, but I'm having problems setting the stands high enough to clear the front tires when I dismount. When lifting the arms high enough to insert the stands, if I dump the bucket to get height, when I roll back the bucket doesn't touch the ground so I can't get lift. Raising the bucket for height causes problems too. What's the best way to insert the stands high enough to clear 4WD front tires?
It sure would have been nice to see a quick mount done before actually doing it! Any advice would be appreciated.
