Problem w/Fuel Filter Change

   / Problem w/Fuel Filter Change #11
Peter, you are correct. The operator's manual clearly states that the operator must be in the seat or the parking brake set to energize the fuel solenoid. The tractor will crank, but the fuel solenoid will be de-energized and the tractor will not start. I have had my seat switch bypassed for so long I forgot about this. My neutral and PTO safety switches are the only things which will prevent my tractor from starting. Thanks for correcting me./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Peter:

Appreciate all the information you and the other guys have provided. Engine has cranked each time I try something new with no luck. Tried it with me on the seat and off...still no luck; After a long day of trying the following:

Fuel is on. Used the screw on top of injector to bleed air. (no luck).

Pulled injector lines to see of fuel would pump when cranking
(no luck....nothing comes out).

I will try the fule solenoid fuse...never thought of it. Also did not try to jumper to the solenoid either.

Will give them both a try. As I've not had any serious trouble before with Blue, I have to believe it something relatively minor....probably looking me right in the eye.

If these suggestions don't do it, I am gonna let the dealer give it a whirl as I am well aware of my mechanical limits and don't want to take a chance of making something minor something major.
