For future reference there is an easier way, mentioned in part by Golfaddict. Without disconnecting anything manipulate the controls to collapse both cylinders. Then have the loader positioned so when you extend the cylinders they bump up against the brackets. I do it all the time as I collapse the cylinders when it is not on my tractor.

The odd thing was, I couldn't get any movement out of the right cylinder. Usually a little joystick fiddling works great, but not this time. I also could not bleed pressure off the blue line via joystick movement - I had to let it bleed off on it's own.
