I have a 2014 John Deere 2025r tractor with 62 mowing bed. Just went to mow the lawn for the first time this season and found that the PTO will only come on for 15 seconds and then shuts off. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? Battery is showing 12.2 volts, Rear PTO switch is showing 12 volts, seat switch is working, back up switch is working. I can not seam to be able to find the PTO solenoid. Anyone know where it is?

Depends on your s/n. Early tractors in the hyd pump, late in a manifold on LH side near rear axle.

At 12.2 volts, your battery is only 60% charged. Trying to trouble shoot an electrical problem will be a waste of time until you have a fully charged, known good battery. I'd pull the battery, fully charge it (12.6 volts at rest) and get the battery load tested to prove it is good. Most auto parts stores will load test for free.

It is entirely possible that once a fully charged good battery is installed, your problem will go away.
