Can the Prince SVE23 closed center outlet section be converted to an SVE21 open center outlet section simply by changing the "Option 3, Closed Center Outlet" plug (P/N 660280002) to the "Option 1, Open Center Plug" (P/N 200400030)? Better yet can the Option 3 plug be machined to remove the extension that blocks the center flow, thus converting it to an open center plug?

Thanks for any info on this.

Thanks for the info JJ. I am trying to piece together a two or three spool control valve to handle a hydraulic top link, and whatever else comes to mind. It will connect to the current power beyond connections as seen on numerous other tractors on this site. Some what like the attached picture, but I will probably mount it to the inside of the ROPS so that I can leave it in place when I mount the backhoe.

I have purchased two new Prince SVW1DD1 spools on the cheap, and even though I don't really need the float capabilities of the spools I figure that it can't hurt. I also bought a new SVI25 inlet section for under $20. There is a new SVE23 outlet on eBay for $20 with a make an offer, so I am thinking of offering $10 and getting the plug machined (free) down so that it becomes an open center. That along with a bolt kit and I have a nice valve set at a minimum cost.
