For those that are interested in shooting rats there are several interesting videos on you tube of a lady in Britain hunting rats at night with an infrared movie camera mounted onto the scope of her pellet gun. Snypercat even has a video showing which camera she used and how to mount it in the scope.

Night vision setup the Snypercat way with a Sony Handycam - YouTube

Someone else's setup

Budget night vision ratting - YouTube

That was extremely interesting, both the adaptation of the sony cam to the scope and the other video of the actual rat "sniping". I think people would pay good money to go on a rat hunt like that. :dance1: I was a little suprised that a British lady was so clever in her adaptation and usage of the air rifle. She even had a simple but clever folding chair to steady the rifle while looking at the LCD screen while resting the rifle. I noticed it had a suppressor on it as well. Ingenious and effective. Good show Madame ! Cheerio, and good ratting!:)

Old Granny with her shotgun.. Irene Ryan, I think. Haven't thought about her for a while.

Here's a different picture of her as Irene Noblette (her real name)

Yeah, after I watched her build the night vision setup, I clicked on her account at youtube and there's several videos of her hunting. I can only imagine such a rat problem! YIKES! Anyhow, that's a $1500 dollar pellet gun plus accessories!

I mentioned above that I was using the TSC poison.

Tomcat with Bromethalin Bait Chunx, 4 lb. Pail - For Life Out Here

Someone mentioned some of the poisons make the critter leave to look for water so they don't die in the building.

I suspect that's true as I have put it all over my house and barn, seen strong evidence that they are eating it. In fact they were eating it this past winter as fast as I could put it out. It was disappearing as quickly as if it were cheese. The mice are gone now as I see no evidence of them and the bait is not being touched. Prior to using this, I was catching 2-3 a day in traps.

I have not seen or smelled one instance of dead mouse in my house or barn. I suspect the story about leaving to get water is true.

All I know is I have no more mice, alive or dead.
