Price Check pricing on B2910 with Woods backhoe

I'm considering trading my BX23 for a B2910 with a Woods BH7500 backhoe and toothbar. The owner of the B2910 wants $16750 for it. He's asking me to pay $5k plus my tractor, which has a Bro-Tek skid plate, Markham toothbar, and Wallenstein thumb and only 180 hours. The B2910 has 340 hours, not bad.

Any thoughts on this deal?

Have you looked the 2910 over really well? I'd bet you a dollar it was a rental........... which I'd personally shy away from. I'd buy a 600 hr. 1 owner tractor long before a 300 hr. rental. The 2910 is a nice model to own though.

Have not seen it except photos. I asked if it was a rental and he said 'no, that it was in excellent shape'.

I offered him $4k plus mine and he said no. I might be better working the BX and putting that $4k into getting power & water to my property anyway.

I'm not calling the guy a liar, but if you are looking at the tractor I think you are............. he just bought it off of Ebay. I'm quite sure it was owned by a rental co. in Mass. I remember looking at the auction when it was on Ebay. I'm just saying look it over really well. Rentals are usually operated like you don't own them.

If you go look at it, and it looks a little more worn than a couple hundred one-owner hours, I'd keep looking.
