Hi all, Seriously thinking about buying a 2720. I need a 72" mid mount mower, a backhoe, and a loader. I got one all priced out and am ready to sign but not sure of the price. 27,900 for it all. 15,900 on just the tractor, what do you guys think? you the experts! Should I do it?

What was the total cost on the configurator? Is this a straight purchase or do you have a trade in?

If it was me, I would send the extra money and jump up to the 3xxx series. Your getting a lot more tractor for the money.. More options too.

Not a bad price, but not a steal by any means.

No, that's total price, with everything as a package. I don't have a trade in so it would be the total. I have to finace it too so a cash deal would be out. I just want to make sure I'm not paying all kinds of stupid fees as well.

As far as stepping up to the 3000 series, The 2000's are already a bit more than I need.

He also told me that a 2520 or a 2320 would run a 72" mower but it would be stretching it with the lesser hp.

The 2720 alone is 15,900 while I can get the 2520 or the 2320 for 14,500 or 12,200 respectively.

I'm at a loss.....you guys got to help me!!! This is my new truck lol!

I would go with the 2520-It's has a history of being a solid performer-I am just not convinced the 2720 is worth the extra $$$. Not even sure why they made it other than to narrow the gap to the 3x20 series and compete with Kubota in that range...

Not true according to the website, the 72" is only listed for the 2520 and 2720.

Which one? The 2520 will run the 72" like it's not even there...I don't think the 72" will fit on the 2320.

A couple of tractor buddies own 2520's. They have 4' boxblades and 5' rotary mower implements. Plenty of power.

I wonder why Deere went with the 2720, too. Had to be competition with Kubota.. For that kind of money - the 3320 starts looking real good.

Haven't looked at the JD site to plug into the configurator - should shoot for at least 15% below the MSRP (web site price) with your dealer - IMO. Been noticing some guys suggesting 20% in today's economy.

Best of luck.
