Price Check pricing on 3005, 3032E are these prices any good ??

Hello guys, I was quoted $12,200 on a 3005 and $13,200 on 3032E, no FEL, and $16,400 on 3032E with the loader? I need to know what type of pricing i should be looking to get on these here in NC? Also, the 3038E was $13,975 w/o loader and $17,175 with it. any information or suggestions,opinions on these tractors as far as which is better, the "E" series or the 3005 and what you think about these prices would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is the 3005 4wd w/R4 tires? If so MSRP is ~13.6K which that sounds like ~10% off, I'm not sure, but it seems 15% is more the norm.

yes sir, it is 4wd with ind tires... would you recommend the 3005 or the 3032E as the better buy?

They sound like ok prices. A dealer around here is offering 3005's w/ FEL for 15,500 and 3032E's w/ FEL for 15,995. A 3038E w/ FEL will run you about 16,995 at the same dealership. Search the JD forums for previous posts on the 3005 and E series tractors. There have been numerous threads on the E series in the last couple of months, as well as a comparison thread between the 3005 and an E tractor.

IMHO - I wouldn't worry so much about better buy, as much as which one meets your needs. The 790/3005 has the reputation of being one of the most reliable tractors around, it's just very plain and simple, however having HST has it's advantages. You'll find lots of threads on that issue. I did a fairly large FEL project with my 790 and yes, shifting gets old. I looked at that tractor when I got mine. Seems I remember there was some limitation with rear hydraulics. At the time I really didn't understand what they were talking about, so I don't remember exactly what it was. I liked the 790 because it was lower and was concerned the 3032 would be tippy for the terrain I use my tractor in.

How did you look at the 3032e when you were purchasing your 790, the E series tractors only came out last fall? I'm not trying to say the 790/3005 is a bad tractor, but you get so much more for the price with a 3032e. As far as the rear hydraulics, the 3032e has a 500+ higher lift cap on the 3pt than the 3005. Plus the 305 loader will lift more than the 300 will.
