I went shopping prices for the B7800 and B2910. The best price that I could come with was $17,900 for the B7800 with a loader (LA402) and the kubota 72" mmm. The B2910 was $1,000 more. Also, is the only difference between the two a nicer seat, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and adjusting links on the 3pt. hitch. How does this price sound to you guys??? Also, this tractor was with the hydrostat tranny. Thanks for the input.

The B2910 also has position control on the 3-point while the B7800 has the quarter inching valve. And I believe the B2910 has a different and better "cruise control" or speed set, doesn't it?

And the price sounds about right to me.

Did the 7800 you priced have a folding ROPS? I understand a mid PTO is linked to the folding ROP on the 7800 for some reason. If not, hen add something like $300+ for the mid PTO which is standard on the B2910. Since you mentioned a MMM I suppose the mid pto is included in the price...would not make sense otherwise... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Also, the B2910 has some extra sheet metal behind the seat, as compared to the 7800...means nothing to me but it is there and hides some wiring...

Probably some other differences too...the extendable links on the 3PH are really nice...really nice...really nice... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif and the suspension seat is real good also if you have any rough stuff to cross...

Personally, I would probably go with the B2910...if the 7800 were available and if only $1,000 less, and I had tthe chance to do do it over...

But I would be spending my money then, not yours... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

henro: what are exactly saying? You would go with B2910 and what was reasoning? Also, he was going to have to add on the mid-PTO, but that was included in the price. Does the price sound good to you. The salesman seemed pretty confident that price would beat anybody around. Also, I drove a TC29D today. I really liked that tractor but he wanted $21,756 (tractor, loader, and mmm). what do you think?

The price sounds a little high to me.,but I guess it depends on where you live. I priced one here in Georgia (B7800 w/ loader) for 14650.00. The question is would it be worth the price to travel to Ga to buy one? The phone # is 1-800-207-0523. Talk to Chris Denson.

Do they have a web site? This is not a bad idea. Thanks Don.

Flemdog,

Sorry, guess sometimes I have a way of being unclear! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

For $1,000 difference if you go with the B2910 you get the luxury features...some of which are worth something.

The extendable links are really useful from what I can see. I have a b2910. Bought it last year. Also my GUESS is that position control is pretty useful sometimes. Nice when setting your brush hog to cut the same way if you lift it and set it back down for example.

The other differences are there...I am not sure of the value they have. For each of us it may be different. Personally, I don't like the cruise control lever very much...

What I was trying to say is that if I were to do it over, with the B7800 being available [wasn't last year], I would probably go with the B2910, if the price difference was $1,000 or less. Postion control, extendable links and a better suspended seat and other differences would probably be worth it to me. More than $1,000 and I would give the 7800 serious consideration...

I paid something like $24,500 last summer for a B2910 with LA402 loader and the larger of the two available backhoes. Also in the package was a woods RD6000 RFM, a tooth bar and clamp-on pallet forks. I posted the exact price here but since then was erased during the hard drive problem...you may find some threads on price if you searh all posts...

The blue tractors are very nice too. Hard call. All depends on price, and what you think of the tractor and the dealer. If it breaks someone has to fix it...

Piper,

Glad to see you got the 72 inch RFM. Had I done that I probably would not have a second tractor now... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I must admit though...I am really happy with the bx2200 and MMM. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
