I'm the one that just bought the used LK3054. I was wondering about 2 things.
1. How much does it cost to add a BH attachment that I see so many 3054 owners have?
2. Can I put one of the newer 10gpm hydraulic pumps for the 3054xs on my older 95 model tractor?
I am curious because of some work I have coming up and I am trying to figure the cost of paying someone else vs. doing myself. I realize it would be cheaper to pay someone else but then again I figure I could just subtract that cost from the price of the new equipment and then I get to keep the equipment /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll have to wait until I get home to check the cost of my Rhino 65 (6.5') BH, but since I bought it as a package the cost might not be meaningful anyway.

You don't have to mess with the built-in pump, you can just add a PTO driven pump. That's what I have on mine from new, and there are some advantages to this set up, in that the BH hydraulics are completely self conatined. Also, I find it has a lot of power without going to a high RPM.

Rhino 85 backhoe on a CK30!!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Not something I would do. Are you sure its the 85 and not the 75??? 85 is wayyyyy to big for that size tractor!!

Yep it's a Rhino 85. I called Kioti they said as long as the Backhoe don't cause any damage it will be covered.
Thanks

I do have question for you if you don't mind? The 85 is only a hundred pounds more then the 75. Is the breakout force the problem?
Thanks

I believe the problem is the added length of the digger causes more toque when digging at deeper depths or reaching out further. Kind of like a cheater bar on a ratchet. More twisting force. My fear would be the BH breaking something then it not being covered and the customer being up the creek without a paddle.

Is there something I could do to prevent that?
Thanks for you help

I would be cautious when digging up stumps or rocks and using the hoe as a pry bar for what you are digging up. The 85 has about 900lbs more digging force than the 75. You will problaby be ok, but it is a risk that I would not want to have taken with a $$$ machine.

I asked Jon Depratt about the new higher volume pump. He thought it would fit without any problems. If you went that way you could run a BH without the PTO pump.
thx
