Price sanity check, please

I have been looking for a tractor for a while and decided on the L4240. So I have located the following. Let me know if you think there is anything wrong with the price on it.


2010 Kubota L4240HSTC, 151 hrs, r1's
New LA854 loader with 3rd function, 72" heavy QA bucket
New BH92 backhoe, 18" bucket, Hyd. thumb
$41,200.00

That price seems high to me. Here is a comparable tractor (it might even be the one you are looking at!)

They are asking $24k, and to me that means there is room for negotiation built into that price. I used the build your Kubota app and found the cost of the add ons you are considering have a MSRP of $18.2k. when added together the total package MSRP is $42.2k. That is not far from the price you got which doesn't make it sound like a great deal to me. I would push pretty hard for something close to $38k which is 10% off MSRP (an average deal on a new tractor). I will say that I am not sure how much wiggle room is built into used tractor pricing, but there has to be some. So you may have to adjust for that reality, but in all, I think you can do better.

Looks like new price for used tractor. Might even do better with a brand new rig.

ran the numbers with the dealer and it is only 500 more for a new tractor when you factor in the differences in financing rates. Now I wonder when the t4f comes into effect for this model and drives the price up more.
