Anyone know the current price of the Kubota 8170 ballast box?

Anyone know the current price of the Kubota 8170 ballast box?

I don't remember the model, but I just checked the price on the bigger metal ballast box (no lid) at the dealer and it was $400. Pins are reversible to cat I or II.

Dealer said that as an old price and would go up.

I searched and someone posted they were quoted $500 including shipping.

Thanks. That doesn't seem too bad. The K&M box at Northern Tool is $330 but is smaller, and has 450 lb capacity limit.

I think the box is 150 lbs and rated to hold 850. I might buy one just to have something so compact. Would rather have it with the lid like I've seen in pics but the ones at my dealer do not (and they have been there a while).

I paid $400 for mine in August 2010. 1250# with concrete as ballast. Philip.

That looks like what I need. Did you put the anchor brackets on the side, or did it come that way?

Is is what you need, Kubota designed it just for our tractors. Lots of weight, but takes up little room. I added brackets myself, original intent was so I could strap it down while hauling or storing. Have not used them yet. Good luck. Philip.
