Price on Aerator

I think it does. On mine, each wheel of tines can rotate at a different rate. That's a bit plus from the drum aerators.

When an aerator tine is in the ground it's side to side motion is fixed. Bearings, bushings, drums or individual spindles have nothing to do with it. The 3 point fixes the movement because the implement will go right if the front of the tractor goes left and visa versa.

I paid $2000. for my woods/gill pl 60" It weighs 450 #. Its built like a battleship! I load up the weight tray with granite blocks and it pulls 3-4 " plugs! Well built,easy to service, worth the money!

im getting quotes of $2200+ for the woods 60", im still getting prices of $21xx just for the 48" model. I got a price for a landpride 60", since they dont make a 48" now, of $2235. I just hope i dont spend $2300 or more then realize you can get one for $600 less.

I bought a Woods PL 72 in October of '05 for $2279 tax included. I also have a Woods PL 60. I use both of these aerating athletic fields in NH & VT. I have found the biggest no-no with these is not to over do it with the weight. That will tear up tines quicker than anything. The tines themselves are pretty durable as my PL 48 is 8 years old and I've done nothing to it but grease it and keep it cleaned up. I clean the rocks out of the tines that need it about every 2 hours or each direction on a ballfield as I do them all two directions to achieve more holes per sq. ft. I keep a long punch and a hammer in the fender toolbox all the time. Soil moisture content is the key.

two years ago i bought a 5' ryan at an aucton it weighs a lot and has individual heads it does a great job. i paid 250.00 for it and feel like i got a steal. they cost around 2400.00. did i say it's really heavy!!

I bought a Midwest 60" Core Aerator last year (2006) from Little Tractor out of Metropolis, IL for around $700. I have been using it commercially last fall and this spring and it has worked great. I would highly recomend them. I looked at Landpride, Bush Hog, and Woods and the Midwest was built just as heavy duty and at least half the cost.
