Like many others I am looking for advice. 1-2 times a year I rent a Kubota 4130 ( 4 cylinder). Now I am looking to buy. I am considering either a 3830 or a 4330. Here is my situation. I own 60 acres - mostly wooded. Ten acres are open pasture and the misses has 4 horses. I need to brush hog, move manuer. The unit I rent occasionally bogs down with 6' brush hog, but this could be because I only mow it 2 times a year and I am running in 4th gear. I was thinking of the 4330 because of the 4 cylinder.

Kubota dealer quoted $24,000 for the 4330 with FEL and glideshift. How is this price?

I am not committed to Kubota. Actually they are the furthest away - 30 miles. John Deere is 7 miles; New Holland, Case, Farmtrac are 11 miles away. I have a 10,000# trailer and can haul tractor for service if I need to.

We live in northwestern Pa, Erie County, where we get 100+ inches of snow. I may use tractor to push back snowbanks in drivway.

Your opinions, thoughts and price information are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Slim

I'm in Erie county Pa also. If you go with New Holland, I get good service from Highway Equipment in Mckean. They got a new salesman, Charlie. He wants to keep his customers happy. A guy Frank runs the place and seems to realy care. They are realy turning the place around after some bad deals with previous salesperson.
A buddy of mine got his best price for his 4630 Kubota with fel and glideshift from Fruit Acres in North East- did great on trade. Although, everyone seems to be pleased with all the area Kubota dealers.
I honestly like my buddy's 4630 Kubota better than my TC45 New Holland. Both have about the same amount of hours and we do the same type of hard work with them.

Thanks for you input. I just retunred the 4310 that I rented. I managed to get it stuck and had to be pulled out with a 30 hp Farmtrac. I'm sure the Farmtrac dealer would have like a picture of that. Anyways, when you got your New Holland did you get a quote from Kafferlin's in Union City at all? I wonder how they compared? Do you mind saying how much you paid for your NH and what came with it?
