Like many others I am looking for advice. 1-2 times a year I rent a Kubota 4130 ( 4 cylinder). Now I am looking to buy. I am considering either a 3830 or a 4330. Here is my situation. I own 60 acres - mostly wooded. Ten acres are open pasture and the misses has 4 horses. I need to brush hog, move manuer. The unit I rent occasionally bogs down with 6' brush hog, but this could be because I only mow it 2 times a year and I am running in 4th gear. I was thinking of the 4330 because of the 4 cylinder.
Kubota dealer quoted $24,000 for the 4330 with FEL and glideshift. How is this price?
I am not committed to Kubota. Actually they are the furthest away - 30 miles. John Deere is 7 miles; New Holland, Case, Farmtrac are 11 miles away. I have a 10,000# trailer and can haul tractor for service if I need to.
We live in northwestern Pa, Erie County, where we get 100+ inches of snow. I may use tractor to push back snowbanks in drivway.
Your opinions, thoughts and price information are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Slim
