MF 4707 Deluxe cab
I recently had a dealer quote me a cash price of 50k on a 2018 Massey a Ferguson 4707 Deluxe with Cab. It was the only one he had on the lot. He also quoted me 55,500 for the same 2019 tractor. He said the 2019 models had a price increase.

Can anyone confirm this price increase? I feel like the dealer was trying to motivate me to move on his 2018. He said if his 2018 was sold there were others around at dealership that he could acquire at the 2018 pricing.

Tractordata.com shows $52,700 for a new 2019 4wd cab in Oklahoma.

I just worked with my local MF dealer on pricing a 4607H that he would have to locate as he didn't have one on the lot. Nothing was said about a price difference between a 2018 and 2019 model. Trust in the dealer is a big part of the buying decision. The dealer has incentive so sell what is on the lot. Some will say things like that just to make the sale.

See what differences there are in the new model from the old model to help guide your decision. I decided to pull the trigger on a new NH WorkMaster 75. It differs from the old model in that it has no DPF and therefore no regen.

Also location makes a big difference. The NH WorkMaster 75 with cab is $46K in Texas near Dallas. I see the same tractor for $54K in New York, $47K w/o cab.

I am assuming you searched and a read all the threads here on the 4707 because some have pricing and options info that is very helpful. I think that price is high but if the dealer will bend over backwards for you for years to come it might be worth it for you.

You could give Brunos in Arkansas a call and see if they have any leftover 2018s and get a price to compare and take back to the other dealer to price match. I got mine for thousands less with front 3rd function, air ride seat, Visio roof and rim guard in tires delivered out of state with no sales tax. I did discuss a low price to pickup and return if I have a warranty issue that a local dealer will not fix just in case. I got my pickup a few hours away and have all the service and warranty work done locally too with no problems so far.

I also had the option to buy a 2019 for 4-5 thousand more but could find no difference other than price of steel between the two. Is the 4707 worth the price you dealer is charging, yes it is a great tractor. I would have them throw in a 7 foot cutter and heavy duty pallet forks for free if they do not price match.

For sure - no difference between the 2018 vs 2019 other than price. Get the 2018. That decision is easy. Both will be brand new tractors - both will have the exact same features - ten years down the road the one year difference in date of manufacture will have little influence on resale value.

The Newest 4700 series tractors are being assembled in Brasil rather than Agco China plant because of tariffs. I am told the quality is just as good with maybe a slight improvement on chassis paint. Only other changes are in the AC vents.

Take a look.

Massey Ferguson 4700 Global Series (2019 Updates) Now Built in the Americas - YouTube

Thanks Bigpuddie! Great information. The tariffs make complete sense and explain why the change from China to Brazil manufacturing plant. I suspect the labor cost are slightly higher too.

From the video you attached I'm not seeing enough improvements for me to consider the 2019 over the 2018, assuming my dealer can locate a 2018. I'm just not seeing a 4k value but now I understand it.

Thanks for your research!

I don’t know about Massey Ferguson but I am looking at a new Kubota. The dealer said there have been two price increases since January. He said he can sell me a 54 HP tractor for only $200 more than the 47 HP tractor I originally wanted because the 54 HP tractor had been on his lot since before the price increases while he would have to order the 47 HP tractor. It seems everything made of steel has increased in price.

Price checks can kind of be worthless on the internet. Areas vary, dealers vary as well based on allocation, volume etc. Best bet is to call as many dealers as possible within 100 miles, pricing checking beyond that is worthless IMO unless your willing to make the long drive or have it shipped.

What I can tell you is tractors were pricier in NY by about 1-2k more depending. I almost made the drive, but by the time i factored shipping, driving, gas, renting a trailer etc, wasnt worth it.

Local dealer now telling me he can do a 2019 under 50k. He has located one in the field that he can get. According to the dealer, the 2018's with the options I want will cost more. He's telling me the transfer fee from dealer to dealer are set by the dealer that has the tractor and several he is dealing with on the 2018's have high transfer fees. I'm a couple of weeks away so I have not pinned him down on an exact number yet. Once I get him there I'd like to see him throw in a front third function for a grapple.

Look at the air ride seat and compare to the standard seat. I saw someone on YouTube talking about it on their 4707, DLH farms I think. The arms rests are adjustable and longer, beside the comfort on rough fields. Mine is super smooth and worth it to me.

On the third function you need to ask if they are replacing the joystick. I just assumed since the factory stick had the button for it they were just adding the hydraulics but they changed the stick too. I am now looking into changing it back with factory stuff. I had them throw it in and I am sure most people do not care. If I knew I would have paid the price difference, but I did not know to ask.

As for the transfer fee there must be some high shipping fees to get it there or for them to trade models to each other. A 2019 4707 for $50,000 and throw in the above options sounds great and you have 540e unless you need 1000 pto for large implements that need it.

Great input Crazydad. I had planned on the air seat. Test drove one with it and was sold. The one I test drove also had the joystick with the third function button already on it too. Like you I assumed the joystick was completely adaptable to adding the front third function with no need for adding to it or replacing it.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get a more firm figure from the dealer and actually look at the tractors paperwork to see the exact options. I do know it is delux cab model. I think it has the high viz window also.

The 540e standard on the 2019 works perfectly for me. I will check with the dealer on joystick.

Dealer says the 2019 includes visio roof, filled tires deluxe cab with air seat and buddy seat for 50k. Hes quoting $900 to add the third function for a grapple on the front of the loader. Dealer also assuring me the joystick will not need removed, just add to the current joystick.

It has a 931x with a 72" bucket which is fine for my needs. The 84" bucket is too wide to clean out my barn stalls.
