Price check on loaded M9540

   / Price check on loaded M9540 #11
I did some checking and it doesn't have air ride but it does have two additional remotes. Online list price is $59,718. $52,900 is a savings of $6,818 or about 11.4%. 14% would be $51,357 or a savings of an additional $1,543. I'm guessing that might be worth having them as the dealer...or should I keep trying.

Bi-speed causes the front wheels to turn faster than the rear to turn the corners faster. The 4WD and bi-speed are on the same switch in the cab although both cannot be run at the same time. This is Kubota's answer to Supersteer.

Hope this helps.

Joe

Did you try to negotiate yet, or are you just considering taking the first offer the dealer made?

I would at least TRY to negotiate some.

Might be an apples to oranges comparison due to the time frame but:

2008 M9540 (new)
4WD/Cab/LA 1353 loader
84" quick-tach bucket
12/12 Shuttle Shift
3 rear remotes
540/1000 pto
stereo
block heater
grille guard
cast rear wheels

plus

-HLA attachments bale spear
-New Woods BW180 15' batwing mower, w/ CV drive line
-New Talyor way 5' tiller (for another tractor)

$54,000 out the door.

Not sure how those prices relate to today, but something to look at anyways.

The cast wheels are expensive and an AWESOME addition. I wish they were available for Industrial (R4) wheel/tire combos.

Do you think the wheel weights are necessary with the cast wheels?

Probably not, it also has loaded rear tires, seems like enough weight back there for most any task. We use it for moving round bales quite a bit and it works great in 2wd without any additional ballast. I'm not sure I have ever lifted the rear end off the ground.

This weekend I cut-in a 300' ditch and buried 18" pipe for drainage. Take a big scoop of wet dirt and you will know how much weight you need in the back.

I wish I had cast iron wheels. I use a ballast box but would love the cast wheels.

I have 3 sets of wheel weights and an 1800 lb ballast box. My M8540 is the same size as the M9540. I HAVE to have my ballast box when I am moving big scoops of wet dirt.

The CAB probably adds weight... so I can't comment on that.
