Today I was quoted $12,850 for a b2320 w/FEL excluding tax ($14,200 minus ongoing $1,350 manufacturer rebate for tractor).

I went to a second dealer and asked if he would take 12,200 (less than 5% off msrp and he said no and did not even try to counteroffer.

Is $12,850 a good deal or should I keep looking? Does the dealer have to absorb part
of the manufacturer's giveback?

How much would it add to the price for a 4in1 bucket in Lieu of std bucket?

Appreciate you thoughts and cmts.

Thanks,

Bassmaster

I'm not a Kubota guy so I'm not going to help you on price but the dealers unwillingness to negotiate is stubborn, I'd go to another dealer who was willing to talk and negotiate. Asking only $550 off is not much and the dealer is still making a ton of profit. As for a 4 in 1 it would be $1-2k in my experience for that sized machine - they add a ton of possibility if you can only get over that upfront cost. It also depends a lot upon what you will be using the machine for, it is good for dirt work and light brush work, but a grapple would do much better for only brush work, but then you have two vs one.

You and other new members should fill out your profile so we can know at least where you live to give advise for your area.
You can contact Brady at Used Kubota Tractors and get a price delivered to your home and equipped the way you want it. If you don't live in Ky they will not charge you sales tax. If you live in Canada or some other foreign country, they won't deliver there.
Kubota dealers do not make a ton of profit. Most of the new tractors that they have for sale do not belong to the dealer. They belong to Kubota and are for sale on the dealers lot. After a certain period of time then the dealer may have to return the tractor or buy it. Tractor sales are not the same as car sales which causes some people to be a bit misinformed. 10% to 12% off Kubota web site pricing is usually a good deal. The Manuf Rebate or Discount doesn't affect the dealers profit. The Tractor is priced to dealer and then discount comes off. The dealer then figures how much profit they want or is required to stay in business or think they can get from the specific buyer and maybe buy a new boat or something and then gives you the price for you to walk out the door with it.
I do own Kubotas and have bought 13 from Barlows. Great pricing, great tractors (and RTVs) and great dealer. Many members on this forum from almost every state have bought from Barlows and seem to be satisfied with their price and how easy the process was.
I do own a B2320 that I bought from Barlows this year but mine is geared and no FEL so mine was alot less and I also bought from Barlows. When I bought mine there was no factory rebate/discount. The price you are giving seems good to me if it includes HST and FEL but maybe can get some more off due to the Manuf disc, contact Barlows and you'll know from a dealer instead of speculating buyers/owners that may or may not have gotten a good deal. :)

Bassmaster,

That is a very, very good price. If, it is an HST model. Be sure to get the 50 hours service filters, some 5 of them, oil, air, hydraulic, trans, fuel, thrown into the deal to sweeten it. Depending on where you are, a block heater install is great too. Bucket hooks?

These little "perks" don't break the dealer's bank, but help the new owner quite a bit. Delivery should also be free. Unless the dealer has to transport over 3 hours, there shouldn't be a charge for the service.

Finally, walk through the parts and especially the service area with your salesman. You need to feel comfortable with those aspects of your local support capabilities as well.
