Thanks for the replies guys.

I see there is a big range on used boxes across the country. I also priced a 5' at TSC and found that they were almost $600. Both the used unit and the new unit looked to be well built. Things are rather depressed in my county/state so sales are slow. He wanted $450, I offered $300, he countered to $400. I thanked him but passed.

The issue for me is that I want a box scraper but don't really need one. I would only use it at the cabin for the shared road and at my daughters place.

Edit to add: The unit is in good condition. But the pins are gone and he substituted bolts and nuts. So it would need new pins. I don't recall the number of scarifiers, probably 5.

new an used boxblade prices can be all over the place.ive seen used an new pretty heavy bbs for $550 to $950.an ive seen some thats pretty well used for $300 to $500.

If it looks well used and its still straight then it probably a good one a worth extra few bucks. :drool: Call him back and offer $350, I bet he takes it.:thumbsup:

IMO 400 is too much in this condition, I would do no more then 300.
