Kubota L3901 Former: Kubota L2250
Thinking about putting my 1987 Kubota L2250 up for sale as I may start looking for something newer with HST. Any help on a fair asking price would be greatly appreciated. It has a loader and is a manual transmission. It has less than 1300 hours and needs nothing. New rubber on front and plenty of tread left on the rear. I will not be selling it with any attachments. Let me know what you think.
All feedback welcome and thanks in advance.

I'll say some where between $5500-$8500. I would lean more towards the low side, because for its hard to finance, and new can be had for $15,000 for similar sized. If you get an offer over $7000 I would take it.

Thanks for the feedback. The comparable new Kubota I found would be the L3200 which goes for around 21k here. Which similar sized one for 15k are you thinking of as I would like to check that out!

What I mean is that if someone can buy a new Mahindra or LS of similar size/spec. Basically, you are competing with economy models.

Some of us remember the years when Kub's model numbers were artificially lowered - which followed a time when they had been a bit inflated. After critics complained about over-stated power, the next series of models were named for available "pto" hp. Your L2250 is one of those, with 22.5 hp available at the pto. The power of the L2250 is comparable to today's machines with advertised 26-28 hp.

The L2250 is more tractor than anything with "22" in the model number today. And power isn't the whole story - it's greater weight and strength are important too. With good rubber, a leak-free loader, and reasonable hours asking price of $7k -$9k isn't unusual.

is it 2 or 4 wheel drive? I bought a 2x4 l2250 around 8 years ago mine was manual, hours unknown, in rough cosmetic shape very good mechanically. no loader it came wit a 72 inch bush hog box blade (very heavy to heavy for the 2250) and a befco 60 inch tiller (a little to much tiller for the tractor) I paid $2500. for it all used the l2250 for 4 years the bought a l3700su. Sold the 2250 for by it self for $2300. I still use the tiller and the box blade. when I was looking for the l3700 I almost bought a l2850 4x4 with loader I think he wanted 6-7000 for it

Mine is 4WD. I also just received some feedback from a local dealer who believes it should go for 7k to 8.5k for private sale. He said trade in at a dealership would be about 6k.
