M&W kits were real common. I'd think any turbo rebuilder could get him a donut. Not sure if the one from a 7000 will work.

It is not a doughnut looks like 2 little top piston rings. seals between the outlet of the turbo and the exh elbow.

Been wondering if a briggs piston ring would work :)

Oh, like a crushable compression washer?

Like 2 piston rings with fiber on the flats in between them. Yes sort of like a super duty compression gasket/washer. They look just like Briggs compression rings with something in between them.
Actually I think rope type heat proof caulking rope would work if there is such a thing. It is a low pressure application with only the backpressure of an open stack on them. I think they just allow for mismatched expansion of the trubo outlet and the elbow that points the stack vertical.

Btw going tomorrow to get my oil and filters for spring prep.

Rope type stove gasket is available at most good old fashioneed mom-n-pop hardware stores..

Thanks soundguy, that might just work, if not it will just blow up the stack.
