Long time lurker...1st time poster. I ran across this other site while searching for info and feedback on powertracs machines. It might be worth checking out!!. My Power Trac: A Power Trac Owner's Resource.
So far I have only found these two forums dedicated to Power-Trac equipment. Are there any other forums that are power-trac related??

Thanks for your reply, I did find another articulated tractor forum ( other than the one I posted above ) but I can't remember the name or address. I do remember that a few of the members of this forum posted there.
I guess I'm looking for some ( new blood input ) on Power-Trac equipment.:D

I've looked into the GEHL / AVANT mini loaders as well as the MULTI-ONE equipment, but the POWERTRAC pricing sure looks appealing :D

I did a lot of looking around myself before I found this site and ended up buying my 180. I love it, it has many capabilities and has served me well and done anything I needed it to do. Only one small regret, wish it had the mini hoe option.

Based on that thought, I would say the sweet spot is in price is the 422. Like my 180 you would have to buy a rops for it, about another 500.00 no big deal. It also has the quick attach feature which is nice, but it takes me less than a minute to change over my attachments simple once you do it a few times. So that’s not a biggie in my book.

If you plan to use your PT commercially, or if you are going to use it for mowing on hills. You may be better off with a 425. More powerful wheel motors and a some other upgraded features. Many 422 owners on here seem to do just fine mowing on hills

In addition, I would say if you are planning on using a bucket to pick up dirt and dig you should get the 425. That 40% or 50% extra wheel torque is very handy. I would gladly pay the extra, but it was not available when I purchased (422 and 425 had the same wheel motor torque in 2000). Either one is a good machine though.
