PowerStar 4.75 Four-wheel drive issue

I recently bought a 2015 New Holland PowerStar 4.75. I'm thinking I'm seeing some odd behavior but I wonder if another PowerStar owner can help me understand what's going on. I pulled it out of the field I plowed tonight and switched the 4wd off for a 2 mile drive back to the shop. The 4wd dash indicator light went off, but comes on every time I touch the brakes. I don't recall seeing this before and I'm unsure of why that would be happening. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated.

Thank you DT86. What a complex machine this is. Not sure how I feel about it. I like the simplicity of my David Brown 1212.

Quite simple design, has been this for many years on 40km/h tractors and works very well.

It may be a simple design, but that doesn't negate the fact that the 4.75 is a complex machine.
