Power steering tie rod end failure

Hi

I posted this on a John Deere site and received good suggestions, but thought I would also try once again.

I have a 2520 where the joint end of the power steering cylinder failed. Surely that joint is replaceable without replacing the entire cylinder? My searching has turned up nothing.

Please advise thanks

Remove end and silinder and look for tierodend with the same taper on it. Then take all to an engeneeringshop and let them cut and weld it together.

This is exactly what I did with my 955. Only I did the welding. Once it was painted it was hard to notice the repair.

I just went to the local Napa with the tapered end and started looking for a tie rod end that had the same taper. We spent maybe 5 minutes looking before we found one that would work. It was a lot cheaper than buying a whole new cylinder from John Deere

Yes, what I will try. Our local NAPA guy is very helpful so maybe I can find something that will fit
