Power Steering Problem Not Solved

Alan L.,

I agree that getting it fixed, then putting in the Amsoil is the best solution. I think it's about the same price as the Super UDT. I'd sure like to know if the Amsoil would fix it, though - but I still hope you don't have to find out.

I'll offer my nontechnical opinion of Alan's problem. Alan lives in Texas. Any state that borders Arkansas is subject to a residual force field that causes unnatural, deviant and perverted behavior, which prevents travel on the straight and narrow. That's why all tractors in New York and its border states are now at risk.

I agree with Arkansas, New York and their border states. But that does not answer the reason for similar problems in Michigan. A non-technical answer may help though./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Maybe a 6" thick lead fence on the northeast part of my property would solve the problem........

I don't know if Alan has his tractor repaired yet. But Kubota Rep. is making plans to come next week and see why my tractor is still having the same problems as Alan's. They plan on using tractor at my place until problem shows up.

I hope they find the problem. I'm waiting for real hot weather to have a complete failure for them to witness.

What are you thinking? Air in the system? Things get hot, air expands, system cavitates... something like that?

Just out of curiosity, what is the proper procedure to bleed air after changing fluids? Just let the tractor sit and run for a while to circulate the oil? How about bleeding air from loader cylinders? It seems that there are high points in the loader cylinders etc where it would be difficult to expel the air. I've been wondering if this might not be the root cause of the "loader pause when shifting from slow to fast dump" that several people have experienced.
