I recently purchased a Ford 3000 with front loader. It has power steering. I have been noticing fluid leaking from the power steering reservoir. After using the tractor for a couple of hours I checked the fluid level. It was somewhat low so I added fluid to bring it up to the mark on the reservoir cap. Then I put the tractor in the barn. The next morning fluid was obviously leaking from the reservoir. I took the cap off of the reservoir and the fluid was up to the very top of the reservoir as if I had overfilled the reservoir. Any suggestions as to what I did wrong?

unless you have changed it.. you may fid it may be the original one.. :)

if oil is cloudy.. drain it as well.

Did you fill it with the tractor running?

No, tractor had been off for 5 min or so before I checked the level and filled the reservoir.
