My power shuttle works great. I have a NH TN70A. I bought the tractor used. I have read the owners manual which tells me how to use the PS.

The dealer service manager tells me I should not use the PS unless the engine RPM < 1500. The owners manual makes no mention of engine RPM.

Any PS owners willing to tell me how they use their PS? Any engine RPM limits?

I use mine at what ever rpm I happen to be at. If I'm using the foot throttle I ususally back off. I've never attempted a 20+mph C range F-R shift and don't think I ever will, but I suspect the modulated Power Shuttle would handle it okay.

Nice to hear. I ask since I will soon be using a snow blower at 2200 engine RPM to get 540 PTO RPM. I would prefer to keep blower going at a steady 540 rpm while reversing directions. Dropping the RPM while running a snow blower to change directions would make for some hassles. I will avoid 20+ MPH F to R change as it would probably rip the heart out of my chest :D .

I wouldn't use the power reverser in high range going fast, but blowing snow you would go slow anyway... engine rpms don't matter. I use switch mine back and forth at full tilt if I have to as long as im not into too high of gear going too fast.

Sounds like it makes sense. I would be in 1st gear, going at 2200 engine RPM, with PTO at 540, then I would need to be able to go F-R-F etc. when I get into a big pile of heavy wet snow that slows the blower so I can take smaller bites of snow.

No problems here at any RPM with a 2120 like Andy's. The reverser is a treat, works easy under any conditions I've noticed. Mine has a switch to preset the quickness of the reversing, and the higher speed (rabbit) is my preference. Blowing snow, loading gravel, all easy for the PR. I think your TN won't have to take a second bite too often, though. You should have plenty of power for a blower.

Jim, you have a switch???? Wow, sounds very cool. Nothing like that on my TN.

So you can use your PS at 2200 rpm? Good to hear. If you can post a pic of your switch, that would be nice.

Bob you have 70 HP so I don't expect wet snow to slow the blower down. Never had a problem with that blower on my 40D anyway. I think you'll do OK.

Bob; I was playing errr test driving a TC55DA with HSS. I was informed it has a double wet clutch setup and when you move the lever from one direction to another it slowly clutches one motion and engages the next. Just like stopping with a clutch, shifting and releasing the clutch again with a manual reverser. It is so smooth at high or low rpm it makes the operator look like a pro. Can't wait to get my copy of this machine. I assume the TN has the same system a bit on the heavy duty side. I was really impressed with the ease of operation.
By the way... Keep the heavy snowfall on your side of the state. I just mounted a 5' western hydroturn plow on my 4110 John Deere. I don't believe it has the capacity for wet heavy drifts.

I assume the Power Shuttle = EHSS are they same, just different names for the same system.

You are sooooo right, it works so smooooooth. I spent today cutting up a fallen willow and moving a lot of tree. Then I went and scraped up some hore manure. The PS makes me look like I am driving a HST! Just that I do it at 1200 rpm and not 2400 rpm.
