Power Reverser Trans Trouble

Hey Guys, I was hoping someone here can help me with a problem I am having with my 4700 JD.
To start the tractor. The Power Reverser lever must be in the neutral position. When I put it in neutral, I have to move the lever slightly either up or down to find the spot that starts the engine.
Well that spot is getting harder and harder to find.
Does anyone have a fix for this problem?

I have a 4520 power reverser tractor. and when putting into the neutral position there is a click of relay being engaged. and lights on dash indicate ready to start.
can it be a safety switch failing to allow starting.

I think this problem may have something to do with damp weather. So I am leaning to it being electrical.
Can you tell me where to find the safety switch?
And is it the same as the Transmission Neutral Switch?
I will also check the linkage.

The relay click is the fuel relay .and there is a sensor under the area of where the clutch enters the transmission (on my tractor) that if loose can cause no starting I used a tie wrap to keep tight.
Then the ignition switch comes disconnected reach under and make sure the wiring to plug is firmly attached.
the usual switches of seat lever position for pto .
