I have a DK45SE with fel w/4n1 and a backhoe. When I engage the backhoe one of the connectors going to the 4n1 control valve will start to leak not at the threaded connector but where it is crimped to the pipe. The only time it will leak is when the backhoe is in operation. I can use the bucket all I want and it does not leak. I don't know if it is the open/close or a return, but it is located close to where the backhoe valves are located. My question is if anyone can tell me if this is the power beyond connection? If not can anyone tell me what connection it is? The backhoe actuator is just up and to the left of this connector. Replys can also be sent to retpht@embarqmail.com Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

This is my first post, but I have owned a DK40SE HST since January and have a background in basic hydraulics. I have spent much time reviewing the workshop manual and also my tractors plumbing and can see that hose fitting that is leaking is attached to the port that is usually hard plumbed from the PB port of the FEL valve. It then feeds the one rear remote you have and then the 3 Pt. It appears you have a 3rd function or some other aftermarket valves(s) installed and the leaking hose is from the PB port of that valve(s) When the backhoe, 3 pt hitch or anthing else connected to the rear remote is actuated pressure will build in the hose thus having the potential to leak. When no hyrraulic actuator is being used the oil just passes through all valves from the FEL all the way to the tank with only residule pressure from passing though valves spools. I believe this is why you are seeing the leak only when using the backhoe. If you had a heavy load on the 3 pt I believe you would have the leak as well. Hope this helps. Wayne

Do you think that by replacing this hose will fix the leak?

Inure that it is indeed the hose crimp that is leaking and not the fitting. If everything is snugged up and the leak is comming from the hose then a new hose will take care of the leak.

I'm 99% sure it's not the fitting, but I have had another hydraulic wise fellow look at it and he agreed that it was leaking around the crimped part of the hose connector. I am also having another mechanic that use to work on jet fighters take a look at it this afternoon, in fact he is still certified to work on jet aircraft. If those two agree with me then I will try to get my Kioti dealer to furnish me a new hose to change out. If so that will save me a lot of time and money not having to take it back to the dealer shop.

Just wondering, Are hydraulic leaks covered by the warranty?

I'll know tomorrow after I talk to the mechanic, but I hope so with only 30 hrs on this tractor, and it appears that this was a custom made hose by the dealership shop.

It should be covered. I think the warranty is 2 year loader to 3PTH.

Took leaky hose off and took it to the dealer shop. The mechanic there made me a new hose. He said that hose was provided buy the 4n1 valve supplier and they had been having some problems with their connectors. Put the new hose on and all is working well. Used the backhoe about 3hrs yesterday and no leak. Thanks for all your help and comments.
