for a tractor that has sat for about a year...b1750, while I do clutch and other work.
I've turned it over by hand a few times in the last few months, but am fearful that the cylinders are drying out and a ring will seize up.
i may not have the tractor running for another 4 months or so...

what is recommended for lubing up the rings/pistons?
should I just pour motor oil down in through the injector holes?

thx

Yeah, start it up. If it had been sitting for 10 years, it might be a different story.

I once restored a 70 Dodge Challenger that had sat at least 12 years. It had been rebuilt before it sat, and had never ran. I shot a little bit of WD40 down each spark plug hole. Once it started it ran fine. At a later point, I took off the heads and the walls of the cylinders looked fine, it didn't hurt a thing.
