Potential Engine swap pt 2425 Subaru to anything else

we have 2 older pts' with the kholers 24 horse, they start when cold and run when it's hot out. Power trak installed the horrible Subaru 72, which is a constant money hog. Excessive fuel use, won't start when cold, won't run when it gets hot out. I would give up my run for president if someone could get me good info on an engine swap, thanks , mike

Mike, there's several threads in the Power Trac forum on this discussion. Search just the Power Trac forum on TBN for robin engine swap or subaru engine swap PT422, etc...

Never heard of a 24hp Kohler. How old are the units?
