Posthole Digger Posthole digger question

I'm looking at buying a pto powered posthole digger and found one on ebay but the seller didn't know what brand it was so i passed on it. Was not sure if i could get different augers for it. So my question is are most augers interchangeable between different brands.

Most PTO PHD's you run across use a 2" round shaft.

I have a Leinbach 7200JR with a 9" auger and had the same question on whether the augers were interchangeable between different brands. I took some measurements and went to TSC to see what they had. They only had SpeeCo augers in stock but each size they had accepted the same 2" round shaft. One item of note was that the collar on my Leinbach auger was much thinner than the collar on the 12" SpeeCo auger I purchased. I had to buy longer sheer bolts to accomodate the thicker collar on the SpeeCo auger.
