I am driving my line posts for my fence. I got one in crooked and now need to pull it out. I tried putting a chain around it and using the loader to pull it out. No go. I think I might have to resort to physical labor and start digging. How unspeakable!!

You must have really hard ground. Instead of pulling it out did you try straightening it out by pushing on the post with the loader. If the ground will give at all this should work and you would not have to pull it out.

It is way too crooked for that. I did push on it with the loader to loosen it but still no go.

The post driver was already on back. I will give it a try later.

I always use my Farm Jack, always pulls them out with no issues.

Put a round piece of log on its side or tire rim next to the post. Chain goes from truck/tractor over the rim/log and around the base of the post. As you pull the rim/log rolls and pulls upwards on the post. I've taken quite a few out this way. The larger the diameter rim/log the better it works.

I'll second the three point hitch method. I pulled out around 50 of them using the three point with a drawbar and a short length of chain. Snatches them out in short order.

Well it took a combination of methods to get this thing out. I was worried about the sandy loam these are in but now not so worried. I couldn't pull it out with the 3PH so I got out an old 20" rim from the manure spreader and tried that. That wouldn't pull it out but did loosen up the post so I hooked it back up to the 3PH and out it came. I now have to drill it to reset and I am worried the PHD will just follow the hole.

Try filling the hole and tamping it before you try the PHD. That may do the trick.
