Got my first tractor recently and I need to install a fence.I'm about to bid on a Lienbach 7300 post hole digger. The add gives a weight of 275 pounds. Are they really difficult to install onto the 3 point hitch because of the weight and how is the drill lifted from a 3 foot deep hole?

I have a similar unit. It's a bear to connect if it's sitting on the ground. I learned from others here that it's easier to connect if it's hanging. They were right. I just leave mine hanging from a tree limb on a cheap comealong. The CA lets you easily adjust the height & makes connecting & disconnecting a snap.
Your 3point hitch is what lifts it up. BTW, you need to remove your top link to connect the auger - this is something I did not appreciate @ first.
I'd recommend reading the saftey section - search for PHD - berfore you run it. There's a lot of info there that helped me understand how dangerous these things are.

I rented a post hole digger a couple of years ago and didn't have a lot of problems mounting it on my tractor, it did take some trial and error work. My problem was getting it out of the back of my pick up truck and getting it back in because I had a camper shell on at the time. The digger is heavy and I had to use my FEl to get it into position for unloading and loading. It is much easier if you have another pair of strong hands to help.
Hanging the digger or mounting it on something to move it around is the way to go.

As mentioned, hanging it is a good idea. I have a Leinbach 7200 and the gearbox is attached to the boom with a single pin. I separate mine at that point and stand the gearbox and auger in the corner of my barn. Once separated, the boom assembly also stands against the wall of the barn and dosn't take up too much space. To put it on, I first attach the boom assembly then back the end of the boom into the corner of the barn and then stand the gearbox/auger uptight and insert the pin. Then I hook up the driveshaft and I am off. One person job and the heaviest lift is lifting the boom up and attaching to the 3PH.
