I have a Kubota KX040-4 mini excavator with a rock breaker. I need to drive some posts into very hard soil. I started to wonder if someone sells a bit that can be installed in a hydraulic rock breaker to drive posts intro the ground. The bits are fairly easy to change.
I even thought about making my own and buying a spare rock breaker bit, cutting the end off flat, and then taking a pipe sleeve and welding it to the end of the bit to keep the flat end of the bit over the post and keep the post straight.
Has anyone ever done this? I know they make hydraulic post drivers, but I already have the rock breaker which should do the same thing with the right bit. I'd rather spend a couple hundred dollars instead of a few thousand.
Thanks
