Position Control...help me undersand

yeah, that sure doesn't look like a position control.. Truth in advertising?.. hmmm.

Truth in advertising indeed....Being a complete newbie to tractoring in general I took the reviews I had read before purchasing, as well as the dealer confirming that it did have position control. I wish I had known then what I know now. That being said I'm guessing that with enough seat time I will get if figured out as best I can. I really do appreciate all of the input on this matter.

The one question I still have, and I'm not sure I can tell by that service manual page that was referenced. If I want my box blade to "float" should I have the position lever in neutral, or locked in the down position? Much like I lock my loader control in the up position for float.

Lever should be all the way down for float.

If the lever is left in the neutral position the 3pt will not be allowed to lower beyond it's current setting. But regardless of lever position the 3pt will always be able to "float" over an obstacle or "rise". Only thing keeping it from doing that is the gravity forces or load forces applied by the attachment.

So to get total float, as S219 said above, lever should be down.

From pictures on google search it appears it is not position control. Looks like the quarter inching thing that steered me from the Kubota BX and B series and the JD 1023e. Kioti's big plus for me was that everything had position control, not any more.
