I don't live in Vermont, but I can see it from MY porch, when the leaves are off the trees, and I don't think you're crazy for loving being in the middle of all that great scenery!
In fact, we often bike down as far as your neck of the woods, Scott. Bike touring through Vermont has to be one of the most pleasant ways to spend a summer or fall weekend. The only complaint I have is Vermont's tendency to put the state parks where we spend the night at the TOP of steep hills! Makes for a tough climb at the end of a day...
And, those hills keep getting steeper as I get older! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I took the liberty of attaching the view looking northwest from the front porch of my summer cottage, about one mile from here, on Lake Memphremagog, about half a mile north of the US border. The mountain is Owl's Head...
