Popup "Join TBN" annoyance

Just now, I went to login and had to enter my password. While I was at the login screen in the middle of entering my password, I got the "Join Now" popup.
To reproduce:
1. Log out of TBN
2. Go to: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/usercp.php
3. Start entering your login info:

4. Within a few seconds, the "Join Now" box will popup over the login screen:

That happens to me every single time I access the site. I wonder why? Is there a fix or does the fix need to come from tractorbynet.com???

It use to happen to me more often, now only if I wait a minute or 2 to sign in, if it does happen just hit the back button to clear it.

It is an annoyance for sure, I would think it might steer more new people visiting away than get them to join a site they don't know anything about.

In other words it's counter productive to it's intended purpose. Let the people browse all they want, then they will most likely join.
Probably has something to do with advertising, sales etc.

Why do you log out? I always stay logged in so I never have to log in.

yep don't ever log out just close the browser when you are done.. And if you have cookies turned totally off on your PC it wont know who your are and will "nag" with the invite.

OR run Firefox with 'pop up blocker' and 'no script'.

But be for warned, you wont get to see any of the other adds ether.

If you have browser cookies enabled, the popup will only show once if you are not logged in. If you clear your cookies every day it will show more often.
