Citronella candles work on mosquitoes.

I don't know about the candles. I was working on a shed near a bunch of plants one morning and bugs were everywhere. Sprays didn't seem to help much. I lit two tiki torches filed with Cit Oil and never saw a bug the rest of the time out there.
