Pop up ads

Is anyone else getting popup ads that cover the screen when you try to type? It's hard to post with an espresso machine in my face.

I wouldn't tolerate that. That's why I use Firefox on Windows 10 with uBlock Origin and see no ads. I use the TBN app on my Android devices and there are no ads.
It's kind of hard to help since you didn't include your device info.

I don't remember this happening except with TBN.

The Brave browser is very good at blocking ads.

Wouldn't hurt you to download adwcleaner from malwarebytes.org and run it. Takes about 20 seconds to run usually. It will detect any malware in memory running on your computer.

If it continues you can clear your browser cache. Sometimes something gets in there that gets reactivated when you hit trigger sites.

I do not get the pop ups you mention from this site, or any other really. Using Chrome.

I run NoScript on my computer with Firefox. More to keep control of some of the Java scripts that websites load, but it also tends to kill a lot of ads, but not all of them. And that is OK. I am not bothered by well behaved ads.

NoScript isn't a good program for a computer novice as each page has to be set up to your preferences. But, it is relatively powerful.

What device and browser are these ads happening on?

I think I hit TBN with Android/Chrome on a cell phone and may have gotten a few annoying popups. On some websites they are hard to close.

The adds are very annoying but apparently TBN makes a lot of money from the adds so that’s probably why they don’t do anything about it even after receiving very many complaints
