Poor starter relay connection on John Deere 950

What can I do to always get a better starter relay connection when starting my J-D 950? My only sure way now is to jump the terminals on the starter itself. I have replaced the starter, cleaned up the ground connection to the frame, and replaced the ignition switch all to no avail.
