Just got my issue of Mother Earth News today and it has a great article on building a pond/pool so that it is naturally filtered and aerated using zones with aquatic plants.

Must be the the August/September issue. The one I just bought a few days ago at Walmart is about wind power and raising goats. I was really getting into the goat raising until I read you basically have to kill the male kids, as they aren't any good for anything else.

Mother Earth News and Handyman are my favorite Mags. They let me read about all the things I can't do but try anyway.

They are good for meat production. They go for the most money when they are around 6 months old. Plus they give the females some daddy juice which enables you to have more females

Castrate 'em, let 'em graze for six months or so and sell 'em to the mexicans. They love 'em for fahitas. We have goats all over the neighborhood. If my dogs wouldn't kill 'em I'd have a goat or two for lawn mowing.
