Holly weeds Stray, I wish I could load them right into a trailer like that. I'm stuck using a pitch fork to get them into the trailer. If you garden they make great mulch between rows of plants. Don't do what I did one time, I left them on the trailer for a couple days. It smelled worse than any manure I've ever come across.

Great weed rake too, I like the rebar tines, great job. Thanks for the pictures.

That weed is a little different than what I have. It's not the milfoil, not sure what it is, but it seems to have met it match.

I wanted to bring this tread back up. I am now designing another pond rake. One that will do all the things discussed in this tread. It will reach 18 to 20 feet out into the pond (5 ft. wide) rake from there back to the bank and lift all the moss it can hold onto the bank or into an awaiting bucket. No additional hydraulics other than the PT's will be needed. Try to picture this and in a few days I will have pics of the whole ordeal. Here of course is a pic of the bucket I use to hall the moss off into the woods. The Pt can carry it full of moss but it is about all my 422 wants to deal with.

I do have a lot of red paint. It is a family tradition. Here is a pic of the pin latch I will be using in building the pond rake. Not yet painted though. I should have this project finished in the next day or two. I measured from the end of the prongs to the center of the front PT wheel. It was 20 ft!!!!!

I was looking at makeing a new rake too, or adding another foot or two onto my now that I have a 4wd kubota that can pull more, but as I thought about it, it would limit my casting distance. I still envy the PT, and would rather have it for my yard chores like this. I recently raked my dock area. I now have a compost pile in my garden about 3 1/2 feet tall by about 4 feet in diameter. I would estimate it weighed around 1000 lbs with all the muck mixed in. I haven't gotten the bucket yet so I had to pitch fork it onto and off the trailer (more PT envy). Again the fish moved right in and started making beds.

I know what you mean about the muck getting heavy. I raked some moss out today and was surprised how little it took to get a load. Schultz I now have the attachments to get the moss out of my ponds without touching or lifting it. I plan to post pics of it later. Good luck with yours. I know forking that stuff is no fun.

That's right LOL when I get ready to paint it, it will be red. I will make some more pics of this rake if anyone is interested. I know not many people would have a use for this thing. I know I sure do and so far it is working great!!!

Could you share more pictures of the design and some action shots? It looks like it would fit my needs. I would need to build a mount for my FEL, but I really like the folding design. Would make transporting a lot easier than a 15' pipe sticking out in front of the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

Here is a pic of the knuckle. You just let the rake fold out on the ground or pond bottom as to take the pressure off the slide catch, pull the rope that runs through the pipe(connected to the slide catch) and lift or lower and pull and let off the rope. I hope this makes since.

What, you hit your head so many times on the ROPS that you decided to paint it a color that you couldn't miss?

LOL The red paint is a family tradition. But if you will look close you can see some red hose placed in just the right place on the ROPs for the head beatings. Even though I built my rops higher than the OEM I still managed to beat my head against it. Ouch!!!!!!
