I have two species of fish that have been caught in my pond that I DID NOT put into there. The only thing that makes sense is that the eggs for those species came in from a bird. Either attached to it's feet, or came out it's backside.

Kind of interesting how Mother Nature does her thing!!!

Well I do like having the larger fish to catch.
So the windmill has arrived. Crate weight 275lbs. Here are some pics. 5 hrs into assembly.

Very Nice what holds it in the ground?? Can you get them without the air pump?

I don't know if they sell it without the air pump. TS does sell smaller ornamental. Ones.

This weekend the pond will be getting a face lift. I have reserved a Volvo 210 excavator. I plan to dig for 10 hrs. This will include dredging the current pond and expanding as much as time will permit. Bucket capacity is approximately 1.6 yards. This should be fun.
Rental $480 for the first 8hrs and $80 per hr after that. Plus fuel and delivery.
I hope to post some pics as the day progresses.

Holy smokes Phil, you must have made a typo or mis-spoke. By your numbers, the excavator would cost $480 for the 1st 8 hours and then $640 for the next 8 hours. I'd have to let them come pick it up for that price. Did you mean that it's $480 for the first 4 hours instead of 8 hours? I've never heard of the price going up if you keep the equipment longer.

I know you are in for fun and will post photos. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

Now that sounds like a serious digging machine. I bet you dig a couple hundred yards easily!!!! I wonder how long it will take you to get rid of all the dirt you dig? LOL

Master plan is to spread and move.
It won't be nice at first but I will save machine time to make it manageable for my 1260 to smooth it out.

So if you use it an extra 6 hours, you might as well cool your heels for two hours before taking it back. You DON'T want to make the mistake of taking it back after 7 hours extra.

Every minute of time will get used. No idle time ether
Switch on switch off. Thinking about next move switch off. First thing I do is put a piece of masking tape with the calculated end time above the meter so that I will know how much time is left to wrap things up.

At the bottom of my driveway there is a rock that I've wanted to move to the pond. Multiple attempts with the 1260 failed. I have dragged some big ones but I could only shake this one. I'm now hoping this machine will carry it down on the trip. So I will be posting random pictures as the events unfold this weekend.
Having the app on my Droid makes this alot easier.
