Took mine off Tuesday and we had a dusting of snow on Wednesday. Just sayin.

But 60s this weekend will take care of most everything left.

Well, I'm a little ahead of schedule. Took the blower and subframe off this afternoon. Tomorrow the loader goes back on.

Take it off.I Removed the 3 pth blower several weeks ago. They forecasted snow, so I put the snowblower back on. So I removed it again this weekend and put the bucket and dead weight back on. the blower sits out behind the equipment shed covered.
They are talking near 80 next week, but if the s word comes up. It's five minutes to get the blower back on the bucket and dead weight off

Ductape you have me a little concerned. I have been thinking that I would like a front mount blower now that I have a heated cab on my tractor. but If it is a big deal to change out the blower for the loader it will not work for me. I need the loader to clean up the critters and move stuff around all year long. Does it really take that long to remove the blower and put the loader on, or is it the subframe that is the real problem?
By the way I really only plowed one significant snow this winter and I think we could of just driven over it if we had to. The railroad tracks behind my house become a snowmachine trail in the winter months and this year we only saw a couple sleds on them and they were have trouble going down them.

Rob,

It doesn't take long......... the problem is ME. I insist on keeping everything inside my small barn, and as you can see, not enough room in there. I end up having to move half the crap in there out of the way in order to make the switch. Maybe ten minutes or so pulling the blower, PTO shaft, and subframe. I'm confident I could do it even faster if I were in a hurry. Then another five minutes to get the loader back on. I keep telling my wife I need a barn twice the size, and she keeps telling me I'd just fill it with twice as much crap. She is right.

Well I was going to wait but I had a culvert spring a hole and it's starting to wash the road out so I'll need the loader. But the fact that the ground is thawing means that any snow we get will not last long. I do still have a few inches left in patches up in the woods though. The 15 day outlook has 70 degree temps. I still have the plow on the truck.

I took mine off today, haven't used it all winter and figured the loader would be sufficient for anything we get at this point?

Took mine off today, never had to use it this year . Figured the loader would handle anything we got from this point on.

Vita, I was only a half step ahead of you. I copletely missed our October storm, as I never put the blower on till mid November. Then I put it on the tractor, but never quite got around to installing the mid-pto shaft until a few weeks ago. Used the blower for one storn all season. :mur:

It was a strange winter in NH- temps closing on 80 next week!

I am the president of the Moultonboro Snowmobile Club- we have 5 groomers, only one went out this year and only twice at that! Oh well, time to fertilize and get the mowers ready!

The real answer, and right under our noses, is to buy another tractor and leave the snowblower on that one all year and use as a counterweight for loader work. Problem solved and now there is a persuadable argument for another tractor.
