Those were precisely the reasons I ended up with the CK20 TLB. The Kubota's are fine machines but the bang for the buck and capabilities of the CK20 TLB make it an obvious choice for someone who knows they want a BH in a small tractor.

This is why I decided on the CK20. I wanted a smallish tractor to work with a full frame mount BH. If mowing was more of a priority I might feel different.

I mow my 7 acre lawn with a DK 35.
It works just fine for finish mowing.

I believe with 0% financing has helped get more and more people into the TLB package.
I will either buy the CK20 TLB or T273 TYM TLB.
Either way the 0% financing makes it alot more palatable.;)

Took delivery of my CK30HST as a TLB in Mar 05 with the BH2375 w/16in bucket.

My thinking was to attempt to get a package of all the equipment I might need based on my tasks as I would be moving away from any immediate vicinity dealer.

The BH has been invaluable in building my house. Besides llittle tasks, I've dug a 20'X20' hole that ranges from 5'-7.5' deep. Also over 200 feet of trenching for electrical lines and gas lines. Still have some major water line trenching to do. I will also use it for many landscaping tasks and am seriously considering digging the hole for the pool.

I have 2 immediate neighbors with JD tractors, but no BH. Also 1 neighbor with 2 Kubotas, neither with a BH.

MY only regret is not purchasing a smaller bucket for trenching and a larger bucket for digging.

Pics available if anyone desires.

95% with R4 tires

Interesting statistic on the tire choice. It seems to me that most
of your customers have lawns or fields that they don't want to tear up with
AGs, so they are willing to put up with the lower traction and higher
price (400-500 more) of IND tires.

I just sold my AG tired tractor, so I won't have it to pull my CK30 (R4) out
anymore.

I was surprised that 95% of the CK owners get R4s too when I first read Rick's post but then I thought it made sense. The CKs are not really agricultural tractors and they are certainly not primarily mowing machines so probably most people go with the "all season" option. I'd guess that Kubota sells more turf tires than Kioti but they probably don't sell all that many Ag tires with their B series anyway.

I would love to have a backhoe. If the BH cost about as much as a loader attachment then I would have one by now. The dang backhoe costs about half of what the whole tractor did. Oh and it wood be a Woods. Cost is the major problem I have with these things.
